PFA Update
SHUS Opening - 12 October
The next opening of the Secondhand Uniform Shop (SHUS) will be on Saturday 12 October from 9.00 to 11.00am in Dalton Hall.
This is the second last opening for the year and a great opportunity to get the wardrobe ready for the switch to the summer uniform at the beginning of Term 4.
A reminder that only blazers, winter tunics and winter skirts will be accepted for consignment sales. All other uniform items in good condition will be accepted as a donation.
The friendly SHUS team will be on hand to help shoppers with the full range of uniform items available including trousers, shorts, dresses and sports uniforms.
Thank you to our Kilvington Cares cooks
The Kilvington Cares food delivery program epitomises the strong and caring community that Kilvington is well known for. This completely anonymous initiative sees home-cooked meals delivered to families who could use a little extra support. These meals are more than just a delicious dinner — they are also a warm hug that lets the recipients know they are part of a strong Kilvington community.
So far this year, the team have made and delivered over 70 wonderful meals. A huge thanks to all our wonderful cooks who provide these dinners regularly. We are incredibly grateful for your time and culinary talents.
If you'd like to know more about joining the team of cooks, or know of an individual or family who could benefit from a meal, please get in touch with Community Relations Officer Bianca Lapins via lapinsb@kilvington.vic.edu.au.
Parent fun at The Bank
The Bank in Carnegie was the place to be last week, as both the Year 5 and Year 8 cohorts hosted get-togethers for parents to catch up and enjoy food and drinks in a fun and friendly atmosphere. A special thanks to Year 5 CSR, Emily Munnerley, for capturing some great photos from the event.
Prep dads bury the hatchet!
A group of adventurous Prep dads recently tried their hands at axe throwing at Maniax in Abbotsford for an evening of fun and connection.
While the group had a ball slinging some steel, it was Wayne Seeto who emerged as the ultimate axepert. Congratulations Wayne!
PFA refreshments served before The Wizard of Oz
All guests attending the Junior School Production of The Wizard of Oz next Tuesday and Thursday are invited to visit the PFA refreshment stall in the room next to Dalton Hall (MSC8) from 6.30 to 7.30pm.
Come along and enjoy some delicious snacks and grab a refreshing beverage before the show. Both cash and card will be accepted.
There are still few spots left to help out, so if you can spare an hour of your time, please sign up here. Thank you!
