2025 Fair and Open Day

Kilvington Fair and Open Day - Saturday 22 March 2025

The 2025 Kilvington Fair and Open Day will take place on Saturday 22 March. Take a read below to see how you can get involved and help make it an event to remember.

Stalls needing coordinators

While many of the Fair stalls now have a coordinator or coordinators (thanks everyone!), there are still a few stalls that need someone to take the reins. These include:

  • Coffee van
  • Devonshire tea
  • Jam donuts
  • Jacket potatoes
  • Plants
  • Sand art

All stalls are completely supported by the Fair Committee and are provided with a full team of volunteers on the day. It’s a lot of fun and a great way to meet new people.

Unfortunately, if we do not secure coordinators for these stalls by the end of October they will not be included as part of the Fair.

Could you be the next Fair Compliance Coordinator?

One of the very important roles supporting the 2025 Fair is that of a Compliance Coordinator. We are currently looking for a person or group of people to join the Fair Committee and take on this role.

The Compliance Coordinator/s will work with Kilvington’s Risk and Compliance Manager on several tasks to ensure a well-managed and safe event. These tasks include:

  • Collecting working with children checks for volunteers
  • Managing food safety requirements and online training
  • Providing input into a wet or extreme weather plan

This is a great role for people who are organised, detail-oriented and love working with people. Bonus: it’s a flexible role that you can do in your own time!

Opportunities to sponsor a ride

The 2025 Fair will feature a number of wonderful rides for our guests to enjoy, including a Magic Trip Ride, Cups and Saucers Ride and Bungee Trampolines, to name but a few.

There are opportunities for members of our community to sponsor a ride, or part of a ride, and receive acknowledgement and promotion leading up to the Fair and on the day itself.

Collecting jam jars

Great news! We have already received a good quantity of clean and label free jars for the Jams and Relish Stall. But we need loads more, so please keep them coming.

You can drop your 250ml jam jars to the collection point at Main Reception. Many thanks in advance.
