This Tour which will be conducted December 6th -20th, 2024, features an extensive service component; working with Loreto sponsored charities in association with the Loreto Program in Vietnam. The trip also includes visits to orphanages, schools and villages in Cambodia providing students with an insight into social justice issues and learning about the daily lives of each country’s rural and urban poor.

Students will visit southern Vietnam’s most important cultural and historical sites as well as a journey to the Mekong Delta. From here students will take the route less travelled, journeying by boat into Cambodia, travelling to Phnom Penh visiting sites relating to the Khmer Rouge government and the United Nations Extraordinary Chambers in the Courts of Cambodia. Students her gain an understanding of the country’s fascinating and turbulent history before finally travelling north to visit the magnificent Temples of Angkor at Siem Reap.

As well as being highly enjoyable, this trip is furthermore intended to enhance students’ Asian literacy and awareness whilst ultimately providing a fulfilling introduction to two of Southeast Asia’s most intriguing cultures and complex histories.

We look forward to meeting with you and informing you more about this extraordinary experience.

Regards,

Mr Paul Foley and Ms Martina O’Connell
