Parents and Friends Association

WPS Parents and Friends Association (PFA) Annual General Meeting

Calling all families - we would love to welcome you to our Parents and Friends committee. We are a friendly bunch of parents who meet monthly to arrange school fundraising activities and social events and would love you to join us.

Our next meeting is our Annual General Meeting on Tuesday 12th March at 7.30pm (in the Grade 4 classrooms at the top of the school) where all current elected positions will be declared vacant. Elected positions include,

  • President
  • Vice President
  • Secretary
  • Treasurer
  • Class Rep Liaison
  • Communications Liaison

Nominations for the above positions can be sent through to the Secretary - wpspfa@gmail.com prior to the AGM.

 

Note that you don’t need to be elected to participate in the PFA, just to hold one of the Office bearer positions. Anyone is welcome to join the committee.

Get on board your Class Contact List!

Thank you to everyone who has already joined our class contact lists and WhatsApp groups - the response this year has been the best yet. These groups provide a wonderful way for the school families to connect and support each other, as well as providing an important communication avenue between the school, teachers and the PFA. A big thank you to our 19 Class Reps for volunteering their time this year!

 

We’d encourage all families to opt into their class group, by joining via the Google Form. You can find the link to the form in the “Welcome to your class" message sent out on Compass in January, or contact the class rep liaison, Anna, at wpscrl@gmail.com for help.

 

Please note that you can share your details for the class contact list (sent out as a PDF to participating families only) without opting in for the WhatsApp group, if you like - just choose the appropriate option on the sign-up form

 

Colourful bulbs for your garden!

Stay tuned in the coming weeks for the PFA bulbs fundraiser! We have partnered with Tesselaar to make available a range of delightful flowering bulbs for your garden. Plant in Winter, and watch your garden transform in Spring! A percentage of all sales will go to supporting the school.
