Lesson Progress

Mr Baker and myself have been blown away by the progress our students have made from this time last year. Term 1 is about refreshing and re teaching some of our core skills, with the first few weeks focusing on catching and throwing in a variety of contexts. If you can find some time, grab a tennis ball and do some throwing and catching with your little ones. I am sure you will be impressed.

Sporting Achievements

Congratulations to our students who competed at the Qld Oztag State cup. We had some amazing performances from our students. Zak and Joey and their team won the tournament after going to a drop off in the final. Great job Jaxen, who finished second in the state and also well done to Lola, Marly and Coco.

Congratulations to Winnie and her team who played outstanding. They took out the final to finish first in the state. Winnie was also crowned MVP for the tournament in her age group, which is an amazing feat.

Oceanic Swimming

Good luck to all of our swimmers who are competing at the Oceanic District swimming carnival today. We have some talented swimmers competing and it is a great opportunity to show off all the hard work you have been putting in. Well done.

Friday Sport

In true Tally style, our first week of Friday sport was a wash out on Friday with the weather not being kind to us. This didn’t stop us from participating in year 5 team building games and challenges that Dwyer narrowly took out. Hopefully we are back out and playing this Friday.

Term 1 - Upcoming District Trials

We have some more district trials coming up in the next few weeks. Students need to nominate for these sports by writing their name down outside my office.

Week 4: Touch football, netball, golf

Week 6: AFL, rugby league, basketball

Week 9: Squash

Have a great week!

Yours in fitness and Health
