Student Council

Starting off in 2024

We want to take a moment to say a huge thank you to our 2023 Student Council for all of your hard work in organizing and running all the events throughout last year. Your dedication and effort have truly made a difference and created so many memorable moments for all of us. We appreciate all of you.

2024 is now upon us and the election process will begin next week.

All classrooms from Grade 2-6 will have an elected class representative. Prep and Grade 1 classrooms will be given a nominated senior council member who will report to their classrooms and give them the opportunity to share their ideas. Student Council is a great leadership opportunity for our students and ensures student voice is activated across the whole school.

Election Process:

Monday 12th Feb: Application open

Interested students write an application letter addressed to their class. (e.g. 5P).

Applications must have student’s name and grade listed, as well as addressing the following three questions in their class speech:

• How would you positively represent the school? 
• What ideas do you have to make our school even better?
• Why do you want to join?

Friday 23rd Feb: Applications close @ 4pm

No late entries will be accepted (unless they have special circumstances e.g. have COVID)

Tuesday 27th Feb - Friday 1st March: Students will present their speeches to their class

Monday 4th March – Friday 8th March: Collating the votes. Miss Jones and Mr Palmer will count all the votes

Friday 8th March: Announce new Student Council @ Assembly

Monday 18th March: First Student Council meeting
