Sport

Welcome back to Sport in 2024

My name is Mitch Clark and along with Meg Hubbard, we are the Physical Education teachers in 2024. We are very excited for another big year ahead in sport at Rangeview! Here are some of the key events in the first few months of the year.

Rangeview Level 4-6 House Swimming Carnival

Croydon Memorial Pool was the venue for our Level 4-6 House Swimming Carnival earlier this week. With over 350 students in attendance, the event was incredibly exciting and entertaining, and we were so impressed with the effort and attitude displayed by all the students. The day included 50m Freestyle and Backstroke races, 25m Butterfly, Breaststroke, and Freestyle races, a 25m mixed medley relay, along with fun novelty events in which all students participated. The afternoon rain didn’t dampen the spirits, and we were so proud of the resilience the students showed given the conditions. After a highly competitive and fun-filled day of competition, Terra emerged as the 2024 Inaugural House swimming champions. We extend our congratulations to the Terra team and its House Captains, Eleanor and Jared (results are mentioned below). We would like to express our sincere gratitude to all the wonderful parents & RPS staff who contributed to making the day such a success and we look forward to this becoming an annual Rangeview sporting tradition for many years to come.
