Container Deposit Scheme

The Container Deposit Scheme is a great initiative that will increase recycling, reduce landfill and reward Victorians for taking part. 

We have finally received our ID and bar code, so you can now support our school with your donations. Shortly we will be receiving special bins where you will also be able to leave your cans and bottles at school!

Use our donation partner ID when you return your cans or scan the barcode to donate directly to support Our Lady Star of the Sea.

There are two depots in Bass Coast Shire operated by Can Collect:

36 Inverloch Rd, Wonthaggi

14 Harvey Dr, Cowes

Opening hours: Monday-Friday 8.30am-4.30pm

Saturday-Sunday 10.00am-2.00pm

There are also two reverse vending machines in Bass Coast Shire:

IGA San Remo - 135 Marine Parade, San Remo
