Wawa/Hello! Come join us!
At the AWAWB, we have a great sense of community and collaborate with people from different year levels.
Last year we bonded on an excursion to Blackburn Lake to learn with other schools to meet with Aunty Merm and Uncle Shane. We also finally published our book for the school to read, learn and celebrate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture, perspectives and history.
We've been lucky enough to host the Reconciliation Week and NAIDOC Week assembly and whole school celebrations.
It's a great learning experience for all - it teaches you confidence, community and cultural awareness. It's so nice to see people thrive and flourish.
There has been a number of new members joining us which has been delightful to be able to connect with them all. We are always looking for more people to join us. Everyone is welcome! We look forward to seeing you next year!
Ngoon-godjin / thank you!
Khalissa, Alyssa and Esther.
