Lunar New Year celebration

Last week, our school came together to celebrate Lunar New Year with a vibrant and engaging special assembly.

The amazing dragon dance performed by a group of Year 6 students brought energy and excitement to the celebration, and the Year 2 students delighted everyone with their lovely singing of a New Year song, bringing a sense of tradition and celebration to the event. Another highlight of the event was the incredible lion dance performed by the Chinese Youth Society of Melbourne. Their energetic routine, accompanied by the percussion team, filled the COLA with loud and cheerful beats, creating an exciting and festive atmosphere. A special thank you to our two amazing Year 6 hosts, Khalissa and Olivia, who confidently led us through the assembly, handing out red pockets to spread luck and happiness.

It was wonderful to see so many students and staff dress in red or traditional clothing embracing the spirit of celebration. A huge thank you to everyone who contributed to this special celebration!
