Physics Class Excursion
Our physics class recently took an exciting trip to Luna Park Melbourne, where we explored the fascinating science behind the amusement park's iconic rides. From the forces of gravity and acceleration on the roller coasters to the mechanics of the Ferris wheel, students got a hands-on understanding of key physics principles in action. We saw how potential and kinetic energy play out in real time and discussed the impact of friction, momentum, and centripetal force. In addition, students and I have had a chance to fly the F18 fighter jet and Black Hawk helicopter simulators. It was a fun and engaging way to bring classroom theories to life and show how physics is present in every twist, turn, and loop of the rides!
