We are beyond thrilled to have had over 100 students audition for roles for our Witches? In Salem!! From lead roles to ensemble positions, each student who presented during Audition Week displayed a passion which  made the selection process a difficult but exciting one.

The auditions were spread across the week, with a range of opportunities for students to shine including Lead Auditions, Year 8 & 9 Auditions, Dance Auditions and Year 7 Auditions.

The cast list will be announced on Monday of Week 4, during recess, in the Drama Room. All students involved are required to attend the cast introduction reading on Tuesday and Wednesday next week, where we will not only set rehearsal dates and days but also begin the crucial work of developing our characters. This is an important part of the process, and we expect full participation from all cast members to ensure the success of this production.

Thank you again to everyone who auditioned, your passion and energy were inspiring. We can not wait to get started and see the amazing work our cast will create together!

Dance Company Auditions

On Friday of Week 2, more than 70 students showcased their Dance skills in a lively and energetic hip-hop audition. Each student did an incredible job learning a short sequence in a very short amount of time, and we are so proud of their effort and enthusiasm.

Due to the overwhelming interest, we are thrilled to announce the creation of a third dance company! In addition to our Junior and Senior Companies, we are now introducing the Middle Company, providing more opportunities for our dancers to shine and grow.

As we gear up for major events such as IHPAF (Interschool Hip Hop and Performing Arts Festival) and School to Stage, we're filled with excitement and anticipation for the year ahead. We can't wait to see the continued dedication and talent of our dancers across all companies and especially our move to 441 Murray Street which will see us have access to two Dance Studios – how amazing.

Here are the rehearsal times for each company:

  • Junior Company: Monday, 7:20–8:10 AM

  • Middle Company: Monday, 7:20–8:10 AM

  • Senior Company: Tuesday, 7:20–8:10 AM

With so much talent and energy already demonstrated in auditions,  we are looking forward to seeing our students grow and develop throughout the year. Here's to an exciting season of dance ahead!

Year 9 Stage Combat classes

Stage Combat Workshop led by the talented team from Stage Combat Perth gave our Year 9 Drama class a chance to learn the skills necessary to perform fight scenes safely and convincingly on stage. Techniques included how to safely execute punches, slaps, and choreographed fight sequences, all while maintaining proper technique and safety protocols.

A huge thank you to Stage Combat Perth for sharing their expertise and for making this workshop an unforgettable experience
