Dive into your Student Diary

At St George's, we believe that organisation is more than just a helpful habit—it's a critical skill that can lead to success, reduce stress, and bring a sense of achievement to our students' lives. That's why we've provided all students with a school diary to help them stay organised and plan ahead.

In particular, our senior students, who only have three school terms in Year 12, know just how precious their time is. Balancing study, co-curricular activities, and personal commitments can be challenging. With the school diary, our students can keep track of their schedules, set priorities, and ensure they are making the most of their time.

But we also recognise that staying organised can sometimes be daunting. That's where technology steps in to lend a helping hand.

Over the summer I discovered a fantastic app called Goblin Tools. This web app is designed to break down tasks into manageable steps, making them easier to start and to manage. Perfect for procrastinators and anyone who’s ever had that ‘I don’t know where to start’ feeling!

Goblin Tools allows students (and the odd teacher!) to input their tasks and see them transformed into a series of simple, actionable steps. This method not only makes tasks less overwhelming but also helps students to maintain their focus and track their progress. Whether it's a major assignment, a study plan, or even daily chores, this app can help students stay on top of their responsibilities.

At St George's, we are committed to equipping our students with the tools and skills they need to thrive. By encouraging effective organisation through the use of school diaries and sensible use of technology, we aim to support our students in achieving their goals, managing their stress, and celebrating their accomplishments. If your child has not shown you their School Diary yet please do ask to see it as its an amazing organisational tool that we are striving to encourage our students to use – once they’ve mastered its use, they’ll be lost without it.

Remember, success isn't just about hard work—it's about working smart and staying organised. Let's make this year our most productive and fulfilling one yet!
