Skeet

Jack  travelled to Melbourne earlier this month to compete in the Victorian State Skeet Titles. Jack was competing in AA grade in the open section and in Juniors, u18. The event was run over four days with competition in 410-gauge, 28-gauge, 20-gauge and 12-gauge.  Jack went into the event with a back injury so knew it would be a tough few days with pain. He battled through the event, opting to shoot most of the 12-gauge events in 28-gauge and 20-gauge to minimise the back pain. This gave him a disadvantage, but it was necessary to make it through the entire event. Jack shot well enough to make the reserve list for the Victorian open 5-man team. If Jack does not get a position in this team, he will shoot in the u18 Victorian team. Jack will now travel to Perth in April to compete at the National Skeet Titles and represent Victoria. We wish him all the best in his endeavours.

Cricket

Our Senior Cricket team played Nagle College on Tuesday 18th February in a tightly fought contest. In perfect conditions with a heavy outfield, runs were well earned, and sixes were the way forward quickly. Unfortunately, we were beaten in the second last over of the match, but true to form, our students saw the best of the situation by looking to the future optimistically.
