Swing Band first performances for 2025!

The Swing Band is kicking off the year with not one but two performances in the Paynesville Music Festival. The first will be on Saturday at midday on Gilsenan’s reserve. The second is at 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm in the Paynesville Motor Cruiser Club. This is a great opportunity to support our students and enjoy their music making. Both events are free.

Music Recruitment

This year’s music recruitment has been fantastic. Our information evening saw the music centre full of interested students who all signed up to learn an instrument. Lessons started this week and already the students are finding their way around the music centre.

Some instruments such as electric bass, violin, saxophone and percussion are full but there are places for all other instruments. We are especially interested in recruiting clarinet and cello students. Students are welcome to come down to the music centre and chat with the staff and look at the instruments on offer.
