We are fast approaching our 2025 House Swimming carnival, scheduled for Monday, Week 5, at the Croydon Memorial Pool. It is going to be another fantastic event with the early forecast on BOM a sunny 24 degrees!
Please read the important information below:
Consent: This is a compulsory whole school event. Consent must be provided via the Compass Event before Friday 21 February 11:59pm. We have around 900 who have students consented already! Thanks to everyone who has already consented, please make sure this is completed by the due date. There is no cost involved.
Location: Students will meet at Wantirna College at 8:45am in their allocated room which can be found on Compass along with the teacher in charge of marking the roll. The Carnival will be held at Croydon Memorial Pool, corner of Hewish Rd & Springfield Ave.
Uniform: Dress up in your House colours, but be in suitable clothing to allow you to participate in swimming events.
Rees = Red
Byrne = Blue
Collier = Yellow
Mason = Green
Medical Equipment: Students will be required to bring their own medical equipment (e.g. EpiPens) on the day.
Dismissal Process: Any student who wishes to leave from the venue MUST have parent permission on Compass by the Friday 21 February 11:59pm deadline and MUST be picked up by their OWN parent/guardian. If this is not done prior, your child will not be allowed to leave the venue. Please ensure if you are coming to pick up your child you have given permission before the due date. All other students will be bussed back to the college before being dismissed upon arrival at school.
Program: Events include the 50m Freestyle, Backstroke and Breaststroke. Plus three fun and exciting novelty events.
Raffle: To encourage greater participation at this year's Carnival, each time a student participates in an event they will receive an entry into the raffle to win a $10 canteen voucher.
Rees House are looking to make it back to back wins after winning by over 150 points last year. House points can be earned on the day by participating in swimming events and novelty. We are looking forward to seeing who wins the House Cup in 2025!
