PFA Update: Welcome Drinks & Volunteer Opportunities

Welcome back for 2025!

The PFA warmly welcomes back all families to CPS for 2025, with a special shout-out to those families joining our community for the first time this year.

It was wonderful to meet many of our new prep parents at the Prep Welcome morning tea held on the preps’ first day, along with many new faces at our first PFA meeting for the year last week. PFA meeting dates for the rest of the year have been set (see below) and will be advertised well in advance via newsletter and Compass.

We are thrilled to announce the two key PFA office bearer roles have been filled for 2025, joining new President Bart Wildash who took over in late 2024:

Secretary = Philadelphia Jackman
School Council Liaison = Claire Edwards

There are a number of other ongoing roles we are in the process of filling, along with opportunities to lead or volunteer for specific events throughout the year. We’ll share more details soon and you can also learn more about the PFA in our new brochure (attached).

PFA Welcome Drinks - Thursday 27th February

The PFA will be hosting some information welcome drinks to celebrate the new school year. All parents, whether new or returning, are encouraged to come along to meet other parents and also learn more about the PFA and how you can get involved:

When: Thursday 27th February from 7pm onwards
Where: The Bank, 75A Koornang Road, Carnegie

Secondhand Uniform Stall sorting = Monday 21st Feb 12pm- 3pm
Icypole Friday = Friday 7th & 21st March 1:10-2:30pm

Seeking volunteer/s to take over running Second Hand Uniform Stall

In addition to the above volunteering spots, Miranda Welham - who has been running the Second Hand Uniform Stall since 2018 - is looking for volunteer/s to take over the running of the second hand uniform stall on an ongoing basis.
