Year 3-6 House Swimming Carnival

It was a wonderful day for our year 3 – 6 students on Monday, 10th February at the newly renovated Carnegie Memorial Pool. A beautiful and sunny day provided conditions for all students to engage in a fun and competitive way across many different events. The events included, 50m in each individual stroke of Backstroke, Breaststroke, Butterfly and Freestyle, along with a competitive novelty event of ducking under and over the lane ropes. It was also great fun watching those students who lacked confidence to compete in races, participate in the splash pool.

All students who attended the day had fun! We would like to thank all staff, especially Mr Pollard and Mrs Freeman for their support in running the day and for all the students who took part. It really was a special day for all involved!

We would also like to congratulate, Truganini House for winning the House trophy and all the students who were crowned champions of their events.

Good luck to all students competing at the District Swimming Carnival on Friday, 28th February!

We will share photos from the swimming day in the next newsletter.
