Building & Grounds Committee

As members of our parent community, we all share a vested interest in ensuring that our school continues to provide a safe, nurturing, and enriching environment for our children. To further this goal and enhance the infrastructure of our school, we are excited to propose the formation of a Buildings and Grounds Committee.

Why is this committee essential, you might wonder? Well, here are a few reasons:

1. **Ensuring Safety**: The safety of our children is paramount. By establishing a committee dedicated to overseeing the maintenance and improvement of our school's buildings and grounds, we can identify potential hazards and take proactive measures to address them promptly.

Whether you have experience in construction, landscaping, project management, or simply a passion for supporting our school, we welcome your involvement and contributions. We will meet informally at a convenient time and share information to all members of the group via email.

Nominations to fill the current vacancies on school council closed on Tuesday 5th March.

As the number of nominations received in the parent and staff member categories were equal to the number of vacancies, the poll was declared without the need for an election.

Congratulations to the seven newly elected parent and staff members who will begin their two-year term of office on 20th March.

NAPLAN 2024

NAPLAN is an annual National Assessment Program – Literacy and Numeracy, sat by students in Years 3, 5, 7, and 9. It is the only national assessment all Australian students have the opportunity to undertake. This year NAPLAN testing will take place in Term 1 commencing on Wednesday 13 March and concluding on Monday 25 March.

Below is the NAPLAN timetable for our school. Students absent on testing days will be afforded catch-up sessions up until Monday 25 March.

Thank you to our helpers

This is an ideal opportunity to say a massive THANK YOU to Mag Muller and her helpers for volunteering their time to tackle the garden shed clean-up. Your willingness to pitch in and get your hands dirty (literally!) doesn't go unnoticed.

It's awesome to see parents like you stepping up and making our school community even better. Cleaning out that shed might seem like a small task, but it makes a huge difference for our kiddos and the school overall. Plus, your effort means we can head into our next Working Bee with everything in tip-top shape.

Your dedication to our school community is truly appreciated. So, here's a big virtual high-five and a round of applause for you both. Thanks for being absolute rockstars!

Working Bee

We are prepped for our first Working Bee of 2024. With many hands, we accomplish some incredible things, so let’s get that momentum going. We'll be tackling a few tasks around the school to spruce things up and make sure our kids have the best environment to learn and play in.

Whether you're a pro with a paintbrush, a green thumb extraordinaire, or just keen to lend a hand, we'd love to see you there! There'll be plenty of jobs to go around, and the more hands we have on deck, the faster we'll get things done.

Plus, it's a fantastic opportunity to catch up with other parents, share some laughs, and maybe even enjoy a well-deserved coffee break together.

So, mark your calendars, rally the troops, and let's make this working bee one for the books!
