On Monday, March 4th, our school's talented swimmers, comprising 25 eager yet slightly nervous students from Grades 3 to 6, embarked on an exhilarating journey to the District Swimming Carnival in Mentone. Amidst a spirited atmosphere, they joined fellow schools and swimmers from the Cheltenham District to compete in a series of thrilling 50m events.
The day kicked off with the freestyle relay teams, setting the tone for an action-packed competition. Following this were the individual events, including freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly. Our students showcased remarkable skill and determination in each race, demonstrating not only their prowess but also their admirable sportsmanship towards their fellow competitors.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Divya for her unwavering support and presence, which undoubtedly bolstered the spirits of our young athletes throughout the day.
In the culmination of an unforgettable event, we are proud to announce the remarkable achievements of our swimmers.
Congratulations to all participants, with special mention to Charley N who secured a first place and will compete again at Division on Tuesday 12th March!

The JSC would like to tell you about what we have planned for our very first whole school ‘special day’ for this year. We will be celebrating Harmony Day on Thursday 21st of March.
The theme of Harmony Day is ’Everybody Belongs.’ It is about inclusiveness, respect and acceptance of all Australians no matter where in the world they have come from.
Harmony Day is a day we can celebrate all of the cultural differences of everyone who calls Australia home.
On Thursday 21st March we would like you to dress in your school uniform with a touch of orange, the special colour for Harmony Day. You could wear orange socks or an orange ribbon around your wrist or hair, it’s up to you!
If you don’t have anything orange to wear on the day, each classroom will have some orange ribbon for you to add to your uniform.
We look forward to seeing everyone enjoying ‘CEPS Harmony Day’.
From your wonderful JSC Team
