If you wish to nominate someone for school council or self nominate yourself then nomination forms are available from the school office or can be downloaded below.

Closing date for nominations is Thursday 11th March.

Naplan 2024

The annual Naplan assessments for students in Year 3 and 5 are scheduled to begin with the Writing test on Wednesday 13th March, Reading on Thursday 14th, Language Conventions on Monday 18th and Numeracy on Tuesday 19th March.

Please try to have your students attend on these days.

Naplan assesses the numeracy and literacy skills of students in Yr 3, 5, 7 and 9 every year. An information letter was sent home with all Year 3 and 5 students yesterday.

Except for Year 3 Writing, all tests are completed online in an adaptive format suited to each child's ability.

If you would like to trial a test you can follow this link and give it a go:  https://www.nap.edu.au/naplan/public-demonstration-site

Student Free Day

The School Council has approved a student free day on Friday 26th April. The staff will be attending a professional development course on student wellbeing.

With Thursday 25 April a public holiday for ANZAC Day, this means families can enjoy an extra long weekend!

Lions Club Paper Truck Loading

Reminder that this Sunday is the paper truck loading to help out our local Lions Club.  Any help at the old railway shed from 10am onwards would be very much appreciated by the Club.  Please support them if you can, as they are regular donors to our school.

Smile Squad six month fluoride varnish visit

The DHSV Smile Squad team are heading back to our school on Tuesday 30th April - Wednesday 1st May to complete six-monthly fluoride varnish applications for those students who have provided consent. Fluoride varnish applications help make sure students have the best chance of preventing tooth decay, so we’re excited Smile Squad are coming back.

Consent for this fluoride varnish application was provided when students’ initial consent forms were returned. However, if anyone has changed their mind and do not wish to receive a fluoride varnish application, they can contact Dental Health Services Victoria directly to let them know. Please contact the Smile Squad team via: smilesquad@dhsv.org.au and ensure you include your child’s name and school they attend.

Have a lovely weekend
