Thank you to all families who have paid their school fees in a prompt fashion.
We are currently in the final design phase for our Innovation Centre. Hopefully, we will move into the tender and construction phase next month. Our Innovation Centre is purposely designed to improve STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Maths) skills for our future generations and industry advancement.
Australian politicians and major government reports keep emphasising the importance of STEM skills for our economy and society.
As the Universities Accord report noted last month, engineering and science are experiencing “significant skill shortages”. Then there is a federal goal to have 1.2 million tech-related jobs by 2030. STEM skills are considered critical for creating a stronger Australian economy.
We are blessed at St Stephen’s to have education professionals who are extremely committed to providing positive experiences and motivation for our students. Combined with the expertise provided by our local industry links I am very excited to see the Innovation Centre in full swing.
