Student Achievements!

Triathlon / Aquathlon Championships

The Queensland 11 - 12 years Aquathlon Championships, and 13 - 19 years Triathlon Championships were held in February at Torquay Beach, Hervey Bay.

Ella Mayes and Harley Sweeper participated in this event with some fantastic results!

Ella achieved 11th overall and 4th in her age group, moving on to the Queensland Team.

Harley came 12th in his age group and 31st overall in the male junior triathlon. Congratulations Harley!

Ella then participated in the Australian Championships at Rockingham, Bell Park Foreshore, Western Australia on Thursday 14 March.

Ella raced so well and despite being one of the youngest, she placed 15th in Australia for triathlon! She had a wonderful time and was proud to represent St Stephen’s and Queensland. Congratulations Ella!

Queensland Sprint Championships

Harley Sweeper had a great introduction to a major swimming meet at the Queensland Sprint Championships. He competed in 2 races and managed 2 personal bests, smashing 1.54 seconds off his 50m Backstroke and .22 seconds off his 50m Free. 

Ulrich Wilson competed in 50m Butterfly and improved his time with 1.07 seconds.

His time for 50m Fly is 35.70. He also competed in the 50m Freestyle, and took off another second. His new time is 32.15.
