Whittlesea Tech School and Lalor North Secondary College partnership is in excellent form this year.

We have 5 students from year 7-8 as our tech school ambassadors this year and we can't wait to see their progress.

The first session involved learning of various physics concepts including light reflection and refraction. Students used these concepts to create device in form of a flower that could physically transpose light into different forms.

Our Students Reflections

That day I felt like it was a whole Science Day. It was mesmerizing. The scientist showed us mind-blowing experiments that explained science and physics, we entered a working space where we made a flower that also explains how things can reflect on other things as the light is on the other side. When we finished, we went outside to see how the colours shine and show on the opposite side of the warm sun. This fun day ended with respectful greetings and smiles on everyone's faces.

Attending Whittlesea Tech School was an incredible experience that I will never forget. Being selected to participate in this event was a rare opportunity, and I am eagerly looking forward to going back. The highlight of the day for me was when the presenter accidentally poured liquid nitrogen, causing it to rapidly vaporize into gas. It was a thrilling sight to behold and left a lasting impression on me. The atmosphere was filled with excitement and learning, making the whole experience one of the best moments I've had in years. I am grateful for the chance to have attended such an engaging and enriching event at Whittlesea Tech School.
