Athletics Day

On Tuesday, February 27th, all students and staff were transported to Meadowglen International Athletics Stadium for the highly anticipated Athletics Day. The annual event was a day of spirited competition, camaraderie, and celebration of sporting achievements. Students of all ages competed in various events, including races, relays, shot put, discus, high jump, and the novelty event "Hop, Skip and Jump."

Notably, the Year 12 students added an element of fun and creativity by dressing up in fancy attire to mark their final year at LNSC. The Principal, Timothy Cottrell, also joined in the action, impressively completing three laps in a competition involving both staff and students. However, there were whispers that Principal Cottrell may have strategically helped his chances by nobbling a competitor, who "conveniently" showed up on crutches due to a leg injury. Wishing Mr Sgambati a quick recovery.

Despite the light hearted rumours, the Athletics Day was a resounding success, with students showcasing their athleticism, teamwork, and sportsmanship. The event fostered a sense of community within the school, encouraging participation and cheering on peers to excel. Overall, the day was a memorable experience that embodied the school's spirit of unity and healthy competition.
