Principal's Message

kend. Dear parents, students and families,
Thank you to all those who have stepped up and offered to support our Market Day THIS Sunday. If you have not, please add your name to the rosters that have been shared via Seesaw. Your assistance on the day is much appreciated by the Parents and Friends Committee who have worked so hard in putting together the day. The real ones to benefit will of course be the students - your children.
This week we began our Transition sessions for our Foundation 2026 cohort. Though there was some tears on separation for a few I am sure that next Friday (21/11), when we host our second Transition, the children will come in excitedly with beaming smiles to be with their brand new friends again.
Next Wednesday afternoon and evening I will be proudly representing our school at the Archbishop's annual Celebration of Principalship and retiring Priests. We begin with a very special Mass in St Patrick's Cathedral before a shared celebration at the Park Hyatt. This will be my 11th time attending and I must say that my appreciation of the evening and of Catholic schooling as a whole only deepens as the years pass.
This weekend is the penultimate week of Ordinary Time on the Liturgical calendar before we move into the great celebration of Christ the King on the weekend of the 22/23 November. Advent then commences the week after. The year races to the end quickly in a Catholic school at this time but I know class teachers in particular treasure each day remaining with 'their' class. Please ensure your children are at school as often as possible through to the end of the year.
Next Friday 21 November our students who have been part of the instrumental program will have a chance to perform to their peers. This will be in the middle block of the day and will be subject to the weather as we will use the front deck of the junior building for our stage.
God Bless
