School Performance Reports - Great results for our school
In 2025 Camelot Rise Primary School has again achieved a ‘High’ overall performance rating in the Department of Education’s recently released annual School Performance Report. Schools are categorised in one of four domains – High, Improving, Medium and Developing comprising a 50% weighting on learning outcomes and 50% on wellbeing outcomes. This report and rating provide a yearly opportunity for schools to review outcomes, improvement cycles and look to celebrate the work undertaken whilst aligning improvement priorities for the coming year.
School Performance Reports are generated each year and contain details of how the school has performed on a selected set of student outcome measures, compared to all other government schools, by allocation to a performance group.
The level of detail provided by the School Performance Report supports schools to improve their strategic planning by identifying key areas for improvement and enabling schools to access targeted supports for improved outcomes.
For our efforts to be recognised with a high rating is a wonderful achievement and a great credit to the work that occurs in our school from our students, parents, teaching staff, education support, administration and leadership team.
Congratulations
We would like to congratulate Rachel Z (Year 6) who has received a Medal for her results in this year’s ICAS Assessments in Mathematics. This is an amazing effort, and we are very proud of her achievement. Rachel will receive her medal at this week’s assembly.
The diagram below explains that Rachel scored in the top1% of all Year 6 students that participated in this assessment!
ICAS is a historic academic competition that has been sat by over 10 million school students from 16,000 schools across 41 countries since 1981.
It recognises academic performance in a way similar to sports or the arts, with engaging, fun questions designed by psychometricians, education measurement experts and experienced teachers to test students’ higher order thinking skills.
ICAS also provides rich insights into students’ strengths and weaknesses, helping teachers to accelerate learning outcomes and unlock student potential.

Remembrance Day
Remembrance Day will occur on Tuesday, 11th November 2025. This day has special significance as we recall, above all days, the women and men who, through personal sacrifices, contributed to the evolution and the identity of this country. Remembrance Day
commemorates the noble sacrifices of armed forces and civilians during times of war. At the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month, one minute’s silence is observed across the country to mark the end of hostilities on the Western front during WW1 after four years of warfare. Our students will watch the live stream of the Victorian State Remembrance Day Service at the Shrine of Remembrance, between 10:30 am and 11:00 am.

Classes had the opportunity to view the Victorian State Remembrance Service and learn more about this important date on our calendar. We slightly altered our bell times on this day to enable our school community to stop, pause and reflect for a minute’s silence at 11:00am and to watch the live stream of the service at the Shrine.
Thanks to Ms Hong for coordinating this event.
Final assembly for the year
One date that our community look forward to is the final assembly of the year because we farewell our grade six children for their final day of primary school after a 7-year journey.
The date and time for this is Thursday, 11th December commencing at 9:15am.
At the assembly we will listen to the Year 6 graduates sing their farewell song, watch the Year 6 PowerPoint and celebrate the year we have had.
Camelot Rise Staff "Thank you" Day
Friday, 31st October was officially ‘World Teacher’s Day’, and this is often a day when the teaching staff at schools enjoy a special morning team. At Camelot Rise we prefer to acknowledge all the staff that work at our school regardless of the role they have. On Tuesday, 25th November we will hold a special morning tea to thank the entire staff that work at our school who work together to make our school the best it can be. Every person who works at Camelot Rise Primary School has an important role to play and no role is any more important than any other.
We want to take the time to publicly thank our wonderful staff for their continued efforts to help Camelot Rise Primary School improve in all facets of teaching and learning. The staff go to enormous lengths behind the scenes to ensure that we are catering to all our
students’ individual needs, both academically and emotionally. A significant part of this work is done after hours and at home, so it is not always seen. I can guarantee that the stereotype of 9:00am - 3:30pm could not be further from the truth. We are very proud to lead this dedicated and hard-working staff and if you do get the chance to drop them a line between now and the end of the year, I’m sure your thanks will go a long way to brightening their day.
