Dear Parents,

We wish all our mothers and grandmothers a  beautiful Mother's Day on Sunday.  You may not wear capes, but you are superheroes to us.

Tomorrow, we will hold our school Mother's Day celebrations. The annual P&C Mother's Day breakfast will commence at 7.30 am in the top quad area of the school.

Later in the day, the children will have the opportunity to attend the Mother's Day stall. We encourage students to bring $5.00 to purchase a Mother's Day gift.

A huge thank you to our P&C for making this possible for our mothers and students. This event is a wonderful opportunity to honour and celebrate all our school community's mothers and mother figures. We look forward to seeing you there for a memorable morning of appreciation and celebration.

Western Netball District Trials

Congratulations, Adelaide Fulthorpe, who has been selected to represent our District at the Western SSA netball trials.

Peachey/Richardson Shield

Congratulations to the Stage 2 students who participated in the Peachey Richardson Rugby League Gala Day on Wednesday, May 8th. They had an amazing day where both experienced and inexperienced players were able to participate in a rugby league experience—all about having fun! The teams vs numerous local schools and learned and used many skills, including passing, catching, and tackling.

The teachers were proud of how all students demonstrated responsible and respectful behaviour throughout the day. A big thank you to Miss Solinas and Miss Tilburg for their training and Mr Datt for accompanying them on the day.

Payments - Stage 2 and Stage 3 Excursion

Reminder: the remaining balances for the Stage 2 and Stage 3 excursions are due next week.

Stage 2 - Tuesday, 14th May

Stage 3 - Wednesday, 15th May

No new students can be added to the excursion after these dates, as final numbers must be submitted to the excursion organisers by the end of next week.

We're Taking it in our Stride

Walk Safely to School Day is tomorrow. On this day, we are asked to consider our transport habits and try to incorporate more walking as part of a healthy, active way to get around.

You can teach your child the healthy habit of walking more by:

Walking with them the whole way to school

If they get the bus, walk past your usual stop and get on at the next stop

If you have to drive, park the car a few blocks away from the school and walk the rest of the way.

Regular exercise, like walking with your child, not only helps them (and you!) beat chronic problems like obesity, heart disease, behavioural and mental health issues, and diabetes, but it also gives you a great opportunity to teach your child safe ways to behave around roads and traffic.

Remember, Active Kids are Healthy Kids, so start planning your own Walk Safely to School Day journey for Friday, May 10, 2024!
