Prep

In Term 2 Prep classes will be exploring their new unit to become ‘Lego Legends’. This unit will allow the students to develop their teamwork skills and creativity as they design lego models with different criteria. This week the Prep classes have focussed on lego lingo, learning the different names for our lego pieces.

Year 1/2

In Term 2 Year 1/2 will be focussing on becoming ‘Lego Masters’. Throughout this unit the students will be learning the skills of labelling a diagram and following the design process. They will have the opportunity to develop their teamwork and problem-solving skills as they create lego models for different purposes. This week Year 1/2 completed different designs and explored creating their own lego designs.

Year 3/4

In Term 2 Year 3/4 will be starting their new unit ‘Tinkering with Tinkercad’. They will be focussing on their 3D design skills using the program Tinkercad. They will be working towards designing and printing their own name tag. This week Year 3/4 had the opportunity to present their amazing playground designs that they created in Term 1. They focussed on any problems they faced and how they solved them during the design process.

Year 5/6

In Term 2 Year 5/6 will be starting their new unit ‘Tinkering with Tinkercad’. They will be developing their 3D design skills using Tinkercad and designing their own avatar. This week the Year 5/6 ‘s saw their 3D designs that have been printed. They also completed a challenge to see who could create the strongest bridge and tested their bridges with different weights.
