Dear Families,
Welcome to Term 2.
As always it is such a joy to witness the children arriving back after holidays. They were so excited to see their friends and it was amazing to walk through the learning spaces that morning and see how quickly the children had settled back into their learning.
As it is the beginning of term it is a good time for a few reminders:
- The school doors open at 8.30 to begin our day. We ask that children are here and in class by 8.55 ready to start learning. Children who are late need to be signed in at the office.
- Our day finishes at 3.25. All children must be collected by 3.40. Our staff are often moving into meetings or other committments at this time. At 3.40 any children not collected at any of the gates will then come into the office. We understand that sometimes unforseen circumstances mean you may be running late so please ring the office if this happens.
- We have really appreciated families not collecting children early or taking children out of school during the day. Once again we understand that there are times when this is unavoidable. Children need to be signed out at the office if they leave early.
- Thanks to families who notify us when there are changes to bus travel. It is a huge responsibility to ensure the right children are on the bus. If there is any doubt whether a child is meant to be travelling home by bus then we will keep them at school.
- If your child often struggles to remember how they are getting home at the end of the day or pick ups can look different each day it works well to add a tag to their school bag that lists how they are getting home.
Thanks for your cooperation with all of this. We want our children to have the optimum amount of learning time in their day and we want all our children returning home safely at the end of the day.
Just a reminder that my door is always open. Please don't hesitate to make a time to catch up if you have any questions, concerns or feedback.
Our dreams are the same. We want to absolute best for our children.
Enjoy your weekend.
Louise
