I CAN
The past four weeks Middle Years students have been participating in the I CAN program. Students have worked with I Can Mentors to build resilience and relationships.
Activities have included drawing people that make them feel safe, building challenges using team work and shout outs to their peers at the end of a session.
Foodbank Food Fight
This past week the fundraising prizes arrived for students who had raised money for the Foodbank Food Fight. Thank you to everyone who raised funds and assisted on the day.
The Resilience Project
Hamlyn Views launched the Resilience Project for staff and students at the beginning of Term 2.
The Resilience Project is committed to teaching positive mental health strategies to prevent mental ill-health and build young people’s capacity to deal with adversity.
Teachers and students will engage in weekly lessons and activities around the key principles of Gratitude, Empathy, Mindfulness (GEM), and Emotional Literacy to build resilience.
