Junior Years

A Month Full of Excitement and Learning!

The past month has been a whirlwind of activities and excitement for our junior students, who have embraced every opportunity to learn, grow, and have fun. Here's a look back at some of the incredible events that have made this month special.

Dance Incursion: Song Room

Last week our junior students had a fantastic dance incursion. A professional dancer visited the school to teach a variety of dance moves to go to the Happy song by Farrel Williams. The children had an amazing time learning new moves, expressing themselves through dance, and enjoying the rhythm and energy of the sessions. It was heartwarming to see the joy and confidence radiate from our students as they moved to the beat.

Sensory Incursion: Engaging All the Senses

This week was a sensory incursion designed to engage all the senses of our young learners. The students participated an activity that stimulated their sight, touch and smell. We explored tactile play with different soft textures while making cloud dough. The sensory incursion was a fantastic way for our students to explore their environment in a fun and interactive manner.

Mother’s Day : Celebrating Our Special People

Mother’s Day was a heartwarming occasion at our school. Our junior students prepared special cookies and during the week made cards to show their love and appreciation for their special people. The school hosted Mother’s Day, where families were invited to join their children for a delightful gathering. It was a beautiful sight to see the children interact with thier families at school and spending quality time with their mums, creating memories that will be cherished forever.

Education Week: Exploring the Wonders of Ice

Education Week brought a frosty theme to our school as students explored the wonders of ice. Through hands-on experiments and activities, the children learned about the properties of ice, how it forms, and its various uses in our world. They conducted experiments to see how different substances affect the melting rate of ice and created beautiful ice sculptures. This interactive exploration not only sparked curiosity but also provided a cool way to understand scientific concepts.

Reflecting on the Term

We are incredibly proud of our junior students for their participation in these activities. Each event was a unique opportunity for them to learn new skills, express their creativity, and connect with their peers, teachers and families in meaningful ways. As we look forward to more exciting events and activities, we remain committed to providing an inclusive and supportive environment where every student can thrive.

Thank you to all the parents, carers, teachers, and staff who helped make these events a success. Your support and involvement are what make our school community so special.

Warm regards,
