Parent/Teacher Interviews

Please ensure that you have selected an interview time to discuss your child’s progress in 2024. The school sees this as an excellent opportunity to work closely with parents in the education process. We aim for 100% attendance by phone or in person. Please ensure you have entered a time on the COMPASS app. If for some reason you need assistance please feel free to call the office.

Works During Holidays

Removal Works During Holidays

The following is a letter from the VSBA (Victorian Building Authority) informing us that they will be removing some low grade asbestos at the school during the term 2 holidays.  Please ensure you are aware of the dates and do not enter the school during that period. There is a phone number to call if you require aqny further information.

"I am writing to inform you that asbestos is scheduled for removal on 8th of July to the 10th of July.

We want to assure you that this school is safe. The health and safety of the community is paramount, and we are working with an independent occupational hygienist to appropriately manage this work.

A licensed removalist has been engaged to remove the materials. The removalist will be supervised by an independent occupational hygienist, who will also conduct air monitoring.

To ensure everyone’s safety and the timely completion of works, it is important that the school and neighbouring community members are not on the school grounds during the works.

More informationIf you have any questions about the asbestos removal works at Rollins Primary School you can phone us on 1800 896 950, email vsba@education.vic.gov.au or visit our website: www.schoolbuildings.vic.gov.au

We appreciate your cooperation and patience during this project".

Camp Australia Non Attendance

If you child is away from school on a particular day and was booked in to go to After School Care, please contact Camp Australia before 3.30pm and let them know. Sometimes they are waiting for students to appear and then trying to locate them before activities can begin. It would be great if all parents could do this.

Many thanks in advance.

Swimming

It has been great to see all our littles so excited and attending our swimming program. The water is  warm which helps in this weather. The program is aimed at giving students water confidence and allowing them to grow in resilience- getting organised, dressing themselves etc. It is a great opportunity encouraging self-confidence. We are so pleased with the attendance rate as this is an important skill for all children to learn. Great job parents.

End of Term

Friday 28th June is the last day of Term 2. Students will be dismissed at 2.30pm. Please contact Camp Australia if you need supervision for your child.

If you are heading away on a family holiday, I hope it is somewhere nice and warm! Wherever you are going, or even if you are staying at home, enjoy the family time together.

School Returns on Monday 15th July.

Assembly

Assembly will be held tomorrow (Friday) in the Multipurpose building at 3pm. Families are welcome to attend.
