Year 9 Camp - Embracing Challenges

Last week our Year 9 cohort embarked on a three day program at Roses Gap Recreation Centre. Set against the breathtaking backdrop of the Grampians National Park, the camp offered a wide range of adventure activities. Despite the chilly weather, the spirit of adventure and camaraderie warmed our hearts and opened our eyes to new opportunities.

There was an amazing display of courage and teamwork throughout the abseiling and rock climbing activities. Students and staff challenged themselves to great heights on the vertical playpen, giant swing and crate stack. Squeals of joy could be heard from across the camp. Learning to build rafts that could carry passengers across the chilly pond was a must and a beautiful walk to the Beehive Falls gave students an insight to the natural wonders of the Grampians.

The Year 9 camp was not just about the adventures and activities; it was a testament to teamwork, persistence and determination. The cold, chilly weather served as both a challenge and a catalyst for growth, bringing out the best in every participant. A very special thank you to the supportive staff members; Trudy Barber, Rick Bartle, Rebecca Billing, Marike Carter, Tasneem Dalwai, Roxanne Dicketts, Vanessa Frazer, Claire Gibson, Ben Hearn, Blaize Hearn, Rebecca Hof, Sarah Mai, Nerina Meth, Tyler Phillips, Adam Prime, Nawaal Titus, Ange Tutty, Kristen Watson and Dion Westblade.

Year 10 Camp

Wishing our Year 10 students and staff a wonderful time as they prepare to explore Melbourne, participate in a variety of workshops and stay at Ormond College as part of their Careers Camp next week.

Students are asked to arrive at Brigidine Campus at 7am on Wednesday 26 June for a 7.15am departure.

Sport

Teams have been feverishly preparing for upcoming competitions in netball, football and soccer over the past fortnight and we thank the teachers who have been giving up their lunches to coach.

Special shoutout to Lexi Gregor and Beth Morris who have also been involved in a coaching capacity with school teams.
