Year 10 Careers Camp and Work Experience

Next week, our Year 10 students will embark on an exciting Careers Camp in Melbourne. This camp is a key part of their Year 10 program, offering a fantastic opportunity for students to gain valuable insights into their future career pathways. Throughout the camp, students will participate in various workshops across different industries, providing them with a broader understanding of potential career options.

Our students will be staying at Ormond College, a student residential college at Melbourne University. This experience will not only give them a taste of university life but also the chance to navigate Melbourne using public transport as they visit diverse workplaces and explore various career paths. This immersive experience is designed to equip our students with the knowledge and confidence needed to make informed decisions about their future.

Following the Careers Camp, we are excited to continue our commitment to experiential learning with the Work Experience Program for our Year 10 Academic students during the first week of Term 3. This vital program aims to provide students with firsthand insights into different industries and workplace environments. By engaging in practical experience, students will develop new skills, explore potential careers, and better understand the professional world.

We extend our heartfelt appreciation to our wider community for their unwavering support in providing placement opportunities for our students. Your generosity and willingness to mentor our students play a crucial role in their educational and personal development. This real-world experience is invaluable, and we are profoundly grateful for your continued partnership.

If you have any questions or need further information about the Careers Camp or Work Experience Program, please do not hesitate to contact the school office.
