Dear Families
What an amazing term of learning, investigating, connecting and fun has been had by all students and staff. It's not until you look back on all the things that have happened throughout the term to just see how busy it has been...and next term doesn't seem to be any different!
Next term begins on Tuesday 16th July for students as staff have a professional learning day on the first Monday in preparation for one of our school's audit and review this term. Please check the Dates for your Diaries page in the newsletter for dates for Term Three.
A huge thank you to the teachers who spent many hours writing reports on your children. please take the time to read these and celebrate the successes with your children. Also investigate possible goals for next term/semester in areas that they might find challenging. This will make great discussion points when we meet for Learning Conversations next term.
Learning Conversations for families will take place on Tuesday 30th 8.00am to 4.30pm. (for families who have PSG's your meeting will take place later in the term). You will be able to make appointments using Simon Everywhere at the start of next term - I will let you know when this is available.
Next term we welcome back Jacqui Butler who will be teaching on Thursdays. Jacqui will work closely with Deb in the kitchen and garden to continue the wonderful learning experience that Ebony provided this term.
We are very excited that Little Joey's Outdoor Playgroup will start next term on Thursday's on a fortnightly basis- starting 1st August. This will be an opportunity for families to bring their little ones (6 months -4 years) to hear a story, participate in activities and have some time to connect with others. Posters and advertising will occur at the start of next term.
Stepping Stones - our transition program for future Foundation students will also be happening next term with activities centred around Science, Storytime and Art, Cooking and Garden and Bluearth(PE). This will be advertised through the kindergartens and our Facebook page.
Outside School Hours Care has had an amazing term full of fun activities. Make sure you have a read of their new page in this publication. To ensure this great facility continues it would be wonderful if more families utilised their services - it could be a regular booking or a casual visit. If it is something you might use later in the year I suggest you register now so that all paperwork is ready to go when you need the session. Thank you to Sam who does an absolute AMAZING job with the kids - they love it!
Vic Roads has recently put out a survey which can be found on Facebook - Nagambie Community page that is regarding school crossing in our area. Please get on Facebook and fill out this survey if you can to support to keep our school crossing. Even if you don't use the crossing fill it out saying how important it is!
Have a wonderful holiday everyone.
Take care and stay safe,
Maree
