Industry Visit - Murray Downs Golf and Country Club

Last week, Murray Mallee LLEN assisted in organising an excursion for our Year 10 Pathway classes to Murray Downs Golf and Country Club. This venue is a remarkable hospitality establishment in our region, employing over 140 staff across two sites and providing diverse opportunities. It was a valuable experience for the students to witness the inner workings of a professional kitchen and observe the impressive volume of meals produced within tight timeframes. Greg Ferguson, the Operations Manager, emphasised to the students that "with a positive attitude, they can train for everything else." 

Vic VICE Virtual Reality Experience

Before the end of Term 2, all Year 9 students will participate in the VIC VICE Virtual Reality Industry careers experience, organised by Mikayla and Kerryn Zanker from the Murray Mallee LLEN. Each student chose an industry to explore, such as diesel mechanics, childcare, factory distribution centers, and farming.
