Leadership Report

Happy Holidays

The final assembly for Term 2 was a great opportunity to celebrate some of the science learning that has taken place across the school. Students have been posing questions about properties of materials, natural phenomenon, and making models and labeled diagrams about their observations and findings. The development of scientific vocabulary and ability to describe their learning is evident in students from Reception to Year 6.

The term has been full of challenging learning opportunities and a good balance of fun.  The Mega Mix Fun Day and follow up Student Principals for a Day were really enjoyed by many - students and staff alike. Check out the video segment of the Principal for a Day on our social media platforms. It is very entertaining!

We will farewell two of our Student Support Office staff this week. Cheryl Young has worked for 14 years at Magill School. Her dedication to providing care and kindness and helping our youngest students to develop their literacy skills will be missed. Katherine Rideout has joined us over the last few years, after doing a teaching placement here. Her commitment to supporting student learning and sense of fun are qualities that we have valued. All the best to both for the future.

Next term we will welcome a new cohort of Reception students and parents to our school community. They have had a couple of transition visits and are keen to join their new classes.

We hope you have the opportunity to enjoy some fun family time over the break and look forward to seeing you all again next term.

Happy holidays.
