Japanese Rakugo Incursion

On Tuesday 30 July, students studying Japanese as a second language had the privilege of watching a live rakugo performance by Showko! Held in A-Block's auditorium, we witnessed a number of amazing comedy acts whilst learning about the cultural practices of rakugo alongside a bit of its history! Furthermore, students were able to volunteer to walk on-stage and attempt the same acts with just a handkerchief and a fan, making the audience laugh under Showko's guidance. Overall, it was a very enjoyable experience and we're glad we were able to experience Showko's wonderful workshop and would love to see it again!
