Principals Report
Dear Parents and Guardians,
As we approach the middle of the term, I would like to share some important updates and reflections with you.
Focus on Positive and Inclusive Language
At Berwick Chase Primary School, we have a longstanding tradition of being an inclusive and welcoming community. Our school values reflect this commitment, and it is essential that our students uphold these standards. Recently, we have observed an increase in incidents where students have used inappropriate and aggressive language. This behavior is not aligned with our school's values and expectations.
To address this, we are refocusing our efforts on ensuring that all students use positive and inclusive language at all times. Our teachers are reinforcing these principles in the classroom, and we are implementing new initiatives to promote respectful communication. We encourage you to discuss the importance of positive language with your children at home, reinforcing the messages they are receiving at school.
Celebrating Success at the Grade Six Sports Gala Day
In brighter news, I am thrilled to share that our Grade Six students recently participated in a Sports Gala Day, and their performance was exemplary. Not only did our teams perform well, but they also displayed outstanding sportsmanship and manners throughout the day. This feedback from the event organizers has made us all very proud.
I have personally visited each Grade Six class to commend the students on their excellent behavior and to let them know how pleased we are with their efforts. It is heartening to see our students embody the values we strive to instill at Berwick Chase.
Looking Ahead
As we continue through the term, we remain committed to fostering a positive and supportive learning environment for all our students. Your cooperation and support are invaluable in helping us achieve this goal.
Thank you for being part of the Berwick Chase community and for your ongoing commitment to our shared values.
Warm regards,
Chris Short
