Voyages of Discovery: Uncovering James Cook's Exploration Through the Eyes of Year 3 and 4 Students

Our Year 3 and 4 students have recently delved into the fascinating history of Australia by researching James Cook's navigation and principal voyage.

Throughout this project, the students pieced together a timeline that chronologically logged Cook's voyage, showcasing their dedication to understanding the historical significance of his explorations. Working in teams, they researched each stage of Cook's journey, from the initial departure to the various landings and encounters.

Students were exposed to historical accounts, maps, and illustrations to gain a comprehensive understanding of the challenges and triumphs Cook faced during his explorations.

As the project unfolded, the students refined their research, note-taking, and organisational skills. They also gained a deeper understanding of the influence of Cook's voyages on Australia's history and culture.

By immersing themselves in the exploration of James Cook's voyages, the Year 3 and 4 students have embarked on a journey of discovery that will undoubtedly shape their appreciation for history and exploration for years to come.

We are incredibly proud of the student's hard work and dedication to this project, and we are excited to see the continued impact of this enriching learning experience.
