Learning Showcase

Each term, each class holds a Learning Showcase. It is a way for students to demonstrate what they have learned, showcase their skills, and share their inquiries with their family and friends. The Learning Showcase provides students with an opportunity to take ownership of their learning, boost their confidence, improve their communication skills, and foster a sense of pride in their accomplishments. It also allows parents to gain insights into the students' progress, achievements and the learning environment. We invite our families and friends to join us for our Term 2 Learning Showcase. Please see the flyer for dates and times.  We hope to see you in our rooms over the next few weeks!

West Welcome Wagon

A message from some our Year 6 students...

Hi Sacred Heart Community!

It’s Brooke, Emily and Eliza here!  

We are part of the Sustainability Leadership Group.  We want to tell you about our trip to West Welcome Wagon yesterday.  We took all of your coats, blankets, socks and jumpers that you donated so far to the warehouse yesterday.  

They were very thankful that we brought these in because they will be going to people who need them this winter.

Debbie, one of the volunteers, showed us around the warehouse and explained how everything runs, what the volunteers do and who the donations are for.  When we were there we sorted through all types of toys and teddies.  We organised them into age groups and made sure that they were in very good condition.

It was definitely an eye opener as we saw how many families in our community are in need of things that will help them settle into their new life in Australia. 

We hope you all continue to bring some Winter Woolies into school to help those in need in our community.

SACRED HEART FEAST DAY FESTIVITIES

We are excited to celebrate our Sacred Heart Feast Day. We have a wonderful day planned for our students and their families, filled with fun, food, and festivities.

Student Activities:

• Morning Tea: Each student will receive a hot chocolate and a love heart chocolate, provided by the school at no cost.
• Tabloid Sports: Students will participate in a variety of tabloid sports activities.
• Art and Craft: There will be engaging art and craft activities for all students to enjoy.

Family Activities: We warmly invite all families to join us for the evening's celebrations, which include:

• Mass: A special mass will be held to commemorate the Sacred Heart Feast Day.
• Pizza in the School Hall: After the mass, we will gather in the school hall for a pizza dinner.

The students are invited to wear red!  We hope you can join us in celebrating this special occasion. It promises to be a day filled with joy, community, and togetherness.
