Trade Tour

We are offering Year 11 students the opportunity to visit Bruce Rock Engineering, Barminco and Proform. The tour will be on June 18. It’s a great opportunity to see industry in operation and highlights for students, industry expectations for apprentices. 

Projects 

Moving around the workshops it’s great to see student projects progressing. The atmosphere around the workshops is good and students are all working well. I have also noticed more students are attending after hours’ workshop sessions, this is pleasing to see. 

Cubby Houses

In Construction the Year 12s are well into building their Cubby Houses. These will be available through a tender process and will be on display during Open Day. 

Automotive

In Automotives a couple of vehicles are getting some love. The old Thames truck has a carburettor issue, and the Falcon has a stripped sump plug which has required dropping the suspension out for access. The project Cruiser is having the heads skimmed and new gaskets installed.
