Eastern Regional Swimming Championships

Well done 9/10 relay team and Ariana in Breaststroke

 

A huge congratulations to our 9/10 yr old boys relay team and Ariana Duke for their incredible effort and determination at the Eastern Regional Swimming Championships! Your commitment to pushing yourself and giving your best in your race is truly inspiring. Regardless of the outcomes, each of you demonstrated remarkable commitment, and that is truly something to celebrate.

Ariana in the 11yr old Breaststroke came overall 12th in the event and 4th in her heat. The 9/10 boys relay team made up of Darcy Hobbs, Lachlan Howell, Rory Dawson and Oscar Agius came 13th overall and 4th in their heat as well.

The Senior Hoop Time will be for all Year 5 & 6 students. The Junior Hoop Time this year will involve all Year 4 students playing within a team for St Simon the Apostle Primary School. 

 

The Hoop Time competition conducted by Basketball Victoria will be an extension and part of the curriculum program within the Physical Education domain taught by Mr Karl Camerino. 

 

These Hoop Time opportunities are designed to celebrate and apply the skills learnt with the P.E. unit of basketball. Within these basketball lessons, students will be taught about offensive movement, passing, ball handling, shooting, defensive pressure, teamwork, sportsmanship and understanding game play and rules within basketball. From these lesson, student are provided the opportunity to apply these skills to competitive basketball matches against other schools within the Hoop Time competition. 

We look forward to the learning opportunity and exciting experience for Year 4 and Year 5/6 students at these Hoop Time competitions.

SSV Codes of Conduct

SSV Events aims to ensure that the school sport experience conducted by SSV is an enjoyable, positive, and educative experience. 

The Codes of Conduct apply to all people involved in SSV activities including all the SSV Advisory Committee members, SSV staff, volunteers, agents, contractors, member schools, life members, ambassadors, teachers, coaches, sporting officials, parents, spectators, administrators and all other persons who are involved in supervising school sport. 

For all sporting events, all competitors and person’s present from St Simon the Apostle Primary must follow the codes of conduct to ensure a safe and enjoyable sporting experience. These are outlined below in which our St Simon students, staff, parent spectators, volunteers are bound to follow:
