Year 6 Science / Art

In Grade 6 we have been exploring the Solar System. The Solar System is made up of the Sun, planets (both terrestrial and Jovian), their moons, the Kuiper Belt, Oort Cloud, dwarf planets, comets and asteroids. We created a piece of art depicting the Solar System using oil pastels. We marked the orbits that each planet takes around the Sun and placed the plants in the correct order from the Sun. 

Leadership Groups

Each of our leadership groups have started working in their teams on various activities.

Sustainability Team - They have been giving classes information about our soft plastics collection, collecting each class's soft plastics, helping with gardening groups and they have also built a new garden trolley.

• Mission Team - They attended the official opening of Project Compassion. They will also be helping organise and run the Caritas Cup.

   

• Outreach Team - They are participating in the Holy Week Liturgy. They will also be packaging food for Louis’ Van.

   

• Student Support Team - They are on a roster completing various jobs: reading with Grade 1 students, helping in the library, helping with our Setup program and choosing a Friday playlist.
