CLEVER CLASS
In Grade 3 Blackwood we have been exploring the reasons behind Harmony Day. We have learned about the way in which we celebrate people from different cultures who make Australia the amazing country it is today, and how we welcome, respect and include all who call this land home.
We have researched the colour orange and its significance to Harmony Day. We learned that it represents freedom of ideas, communication, cultural diversity and above all mutual respect and inclusion. We made orange ribbons and were challenged to wear them for the whole week as a reminder of what we have been learning.
Thank you
Mrs B, Mrs Moynihan and Grade 3 Blackwood Students.
