Week 10, Term 1- The final week of Term 1!

Dear families,

As we reach the final week of Term 1, I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude to the incredible St Mary’s community for the warm welcome and support I have received in my first term. It has been a privilege to get to know this community and witness firsthand the true spirit of what it means to be part of our school.

I have been continually amazed by the generosity and willingness of our families to support one another and the school in so many ways - whether it’s helping me find someone to finally replace the front gate, assisting with student transport for excursions, donating toasters for our breakfast club, or contributing time and effort to our chocolate fundraiser. The sense of care and community at St Mary’s is truly special.

One of the things I value most is the strong partnership between families and the school in supporting students’ learning and emotional growth. The open conversations - celebrating successes, addressing concerns, and discussing ways we can continue to improve - are what make this school such a wonderful place to be.

It has been an incredible start to my journey at St Mary’s, and I look forward to continuing to grow and work together in the terms ahead.

Congratulations 👰🏻‍♀️🤵🏻

We have TWO weddings to celebrate!

On Friday, 21st March, Khris Woodward married her partner Dave in a surprise wedding (surprise for us!). She is now Mrs May and we wish Dave, Khris and their beautiful children, Kalani and Harvey,  every joy and happiness as they continue on their life together, now as a Mr and Mrs!

We also congratulate Mikayla and Zac on their wedding on Friday 28th March. They had perfect weather to mark the beginning of their marriage together. We hope they enjoy their honeymoon to Africa and we will welcome Mikayla back in week 2 of Term 2.

Learning Celebrations- Term 1

We loved welcoming in our community to celebrate the learning of our students for Term 1. It was a wonderful opportunity to mark the achievements of our students. Thank you for those who could make it on the day. We will do this each term, save the date for Term 2 -  Wednesday 25th June at 2:45PM.

I wish every family a safe and happy Easter and we will see you all on Tuesday 22nd April!

Kind regards

Nicole Black
