Foundation

After learning the letter O students made an octopus and wrote a story about them.

Levi passed Level 4 in Blitz, which is an amazing effort for a prep!

Students learnt about rhyming words and what less and more means in maths.

During The Resilience Project students made paddle pop stick houses. They then discussed the people they are grateful for and drew pictures of them in their home. 

 After consolidating their first 12 sounds, students have learnt the new sound 'g' and made guitars.

In Art Mrs Kelly taught foundation students about different lines and the students created their own Easter eggs. 

Year 1/2

Writing: The students have included their tricky words and vocabulary words into their writing to improve their spelling and expand their range of word choices.

Math: We revised our understanding of 2D shapes and their properties by cutting out each shape and identifying the number of sides and vertices.

Spelling: As part of our spelling unit on the long a sound, the students searched the classroom for pictures and identified the correct spelling patterns.

PE: The beautiful weather provided the perfect opportunity for the students to try their hand at T-ball.

Year 3/4

3/4 J and 3/4 N working together during mappen, talking through ethical dilemmas.

 

Book club! We are loving this book, we have been discussing the characters and themes of persistence and determination

 

Math today, students worked in a  range on problems, applying a range of strategies where there were multiple correct answers. Fantastic work 3/4s!

We have students who are flying at blitz!! Congratulations!

Year 5/6

Students have completed the beep test this week. We had some new CPS records set, the students are all ready for cross country in Week 2, Term 2. Congratulations to all students who tried their best!!

The 5/6 students have been working really hard in reading and writing this week. We have completed close reads, book clubs and reading for interest.

Ryan was set a challenge of taking some photos outside and did a brilliant job!  Well done Ryan!

5/6 students have also completed some amazing artwork this week. They have been practicing prints using different gradients and tones. Their artworks will be looking fabulous for the Cobram Show!
