Foundation

This term the students will be exploring native animals and plants through different medium. Students will be discussing artists that have used native animals and plants in their artwork.

Grades 1 and 2

This term students will explore the colours and textures in the four seasons and explore the seasons that are used by Indigenous people in different parts of Australia. Students will be discussing artists that have used seasons in their artwork.

Grades 3 and 4

This term students will explore artwork through using water. Students will be discussing artists that have used water in their artwork or to create their artwork. This week the students used the printing technique of marbling. Ink is floated on the surface of water and then paper is laid on the surface to transfer the ink onto the paper. 

Grades 5 and 6

This term students will explore elements of the environment and in particular the Great Barrier Reef. Students will be discussing artists that have created their own artwork based on a coral reef. Students will be using collage and modelling techniques to create their own artwork.
