2025 QGSSSA Artistic Gymnastics Championships
A Golden Chapter in Clayfield History
There are days in sport that linger long after the scores are tallied, moments that imprint themselves in the hearts of those who witness them. The 2025 QGSSSA Artistic Gymnastics Championships was one such day for Clayfield College.
Held at our own PE Centre on Tuesday 1 April, the atmosphere was nothing short of electric. The arena buzzed with anticipation, and our gymnasts delivered - not only routines, but performances full of heart, grace, and strength. With each rotation, Clayfield’s presence grew louder, prouder, and more unforgettable.
Our athletes etched their names into the QGSSSA record books, securing an extraordinary suite of results:
- Open Grade - Championship Pennant Winners
- B Grade - Championship Pennant Winners
- C Grade - Championship Pennant Winners
- D Grade- Championship Pennant Winners
- A Grade - 2nd Place
- Year 7 - 4th Place
Each performance was a study in control, artistry, and courage. Clayfield did not just compete, they inspired.
Within this collective brilliance, individual excellence also lit up the arena:
- Grace Webb, in her final season representing Clayfield, gave a performance for the ages — scoring a perfect 10.00 on both the uneven bars and vault in the Open Division. It was a fitting farewell from one of our most iconic gymnasts.
- Beatrice Gilbert stunned the crowd once more in B Grade, commanding the floor with a routine that earned a flawless 10.00 for the second year in a row. Her perfect 10.00 in 2024 was no one-time moment; Bea has proven herself a consistent standout on the floor, year after year.
- Eleanor Myers, graceful and composed, soared on vault in the C Grade competition, delivering a perfect 10.00.
- Lolita Green was poetry in motion on the beam, executing her routine with such elegance and precision it was rewarded with a 10.00.
- Iara Chaves brought the crowd to their feet in the Open Division, earning the highest floor score of the day — a spectacular 9.875, full of power, artistry, and presence.
These results were made possible by the exceptional guidance of our Delta Gymnastics coaching team: Georgina Osborne, Laura Lancaster, Jessica Brooks, and Isabella McDonnell Baum a proud Clayfield Old Collegian and former Artistic Gymnastics Captain in 2023 and 2024. Their steady hands, sharp eyes, and deep understanding of their athletes brought out the very best in our team.
The energy in the PE Centre was electric the cheers, the hugs, the held breaths before landings. It was a day where community met excellence and where every dismount and salute told a story of pride and purpose.
To our Artistic Gymnastics team, you gave us a day to remember. Thank you for your brilliance, your courage, and your elegance. This chapter will be remembered as one of the great moments in Clayfield College Sport.
Congratulations, you have made us all so proud.
